Mastodon Men's Golf Starts Spring Season in Georgia

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team will open the spring season in Savannah, Georgia this weekend at The Club at Savannah Harbor on February 21-22.

The Club at Savannah Harbor is the former home to the PGA Tour Champions Tour, Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf Championship; the course that lies nestled between the banks of the Savannah and Back Rivers of the splendid Georgia Low Country. The serenity of coastal Georgia, its tidal marshes and abundant wildlife provides the canvas for The Club at Savannah Harbor, an 18-hole masterpiece created and designed by renowned architect Robert Cupp in conjunction with the legendary "Slammin' Sammy" Snead. The club continues to impress golfers and was recognized in by Golfweek as one of the "Best Courses You Can Play in Georgia" in 2020.

Brock Reschly finished third at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational on October 7 with a 211. His third-place finish was the best finish of his career and first top-five.

Justin Hicks (4th, 74.18), Brock Reschly (5th, 74.24), Julian Dugan (7th, 74.29), Nick Holder (8th, 74.47) and AJ Agnew (9th, 74.84) are all in the top-10 in program history for career scoring averages.
A New Record!
The Mastodons shot an 846 at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational on September 8-9, which matched the program record for a 54-hole event.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne took 11th at the Xavier Invitational with a three-round total of 910.
Coming Up
The Mastodons will travel to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina over spring break to compete in the Surf Club Invitational hosted by Appalachian State on March 9-10.
