
'Dons Set For #HLMBB First Round at Green Bay on Tuesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne heads to Green Bay on Tuesday (March 3) to play the Phoenix in the first round of the 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Championship. The winner will advance to Indianapolis. The two lowest remaining teams will play on Sunday (March 8) in the second round. The three highest remaining teams will advance directly to the semifinals on Monday.

The two teams own one of the most memorable league tournament games for the Mastodons' brief history in the Horizon League. In 2020-21, the Mastodons won 89-84 in double overtime at the Kress Center. - Former Mastodon John Konchar (2014-19) was inducted into the Mastodon Hall of Fame on Jan. 31. Konchar, the seven-year NBA veteran with the Utah Jazz, finished his collegiate career as the first student-athlete in NCAA Division I men's basketball history to record 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 500 assists and 200 steals.
