MUNCIE, Ind. & Oxford, Miss. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field program completed their first day of competition at Ball State's We Fly Challenge and the Ole Miss Joe Walker Invite on Friday (April 10).
Ali Sparks was the lone Mastodon to represent Purdue Fort Wayne at Ole Miss, throwing a 53.89 meter hammer throw mark. Her time sits as the second furthest in the Horizon League, sitting only behind her own throw.
The other 'Don throwers were seen in action at Ball State. Francesca Carlo (43.86m), Emery Carrico (37.63m) and Ellie Zagel (37.48m) all competed in the hammer throw.
Makenna Dommer threw a 37.02 meter discus throw mark. Carrico also competed in the event, throwing 34.71 meters.
Carrico (SP), Carlo (JT, SP), Henry (JT), Sparks (SP) and Zagel (SP) will all compete to finish out the meets tomorrow.
