Sparks Throws HL Furthest Shot Put

MUNCIE, Ind. & OXFORD, Miss. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field program finished the Ball State's We Fly Challenge and the Ole Miss Joe Walker Invite on Saturday (April 11).
Ali Sparks was the lone Mastodon to compete at Ole Miss, throwing the Horizon League's furthest shot put mark (13.94m).
Francesca Carlo threw her first collegiate javelin throw mark at Ball State, reaching 21.23 meters.
Ellie Zagel (12.40m) and Carlo (11.20m) also competed in the shot put at the We Fly Challenge.
The 'Dons will split to take on Indiana State's Gibson Invitational (April 16-18) and the Wake Forest Invitational (April 17-18).
