Know Your Foe
Southern Indiana has started its season 0-2-1, dropping matches to Middle Tennessee and Akron. The Screaming Eagles opened their season with a scoreless draw against Horizon League foe Wright State. Southern Indiana returns junior defender Emma Schut, who was named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Second Team last season, and sophomore defender Tierney Mullady, who earned OVC All-Newcomer Team accolades. Graduate forward Payton Seymour and junior defender Ava Hess are also back for Southern Indiana and were named to the OVC's 2026 Preseason Players to Watch List.

The Mastodons dropped their regular season opener at Purdue (Aug. 16) 7-1. Despite Purdue jumping out to a first-half lead, the Mastodons and Boilermakers were even in the second 45. Senior midfielder Kailey Hansen scored her first collegiate goal in the 63rd minute, scoring off a cleared corner kick from Morgan Gallagher.
