MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team fell 6-1 at Central Michigan on Thursday (Aug. 27) in non-league action.
Cyann Retzloff netted her first goal of the season in the 68th minute, finishing a rebound off the top crossbar. It was the third goal of her career.
Reserves Audriana Rhyner and Bella Masse each recorded shots, with Rhyner leading the Mastodons with three shots and one on goal off the bench.
Central Michigan scored in the sixth and eighth minutes before adding four more goals in the second half. The Chippewas found the back of the net in the 48th, 68th, 75th and 87th minutes.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 0-2-1 on the season, while Central Michigan improves to 2-2-0.
The Mastodons continue non-league action on the road at Eastern Illinois on Sunday (Aug. 30).
