Women's Soccer Comes Up Short at Robert Morris

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. – The Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team fell to Robert Morris 2-0 on Thursday (Sept. 24).
The Mastodons and Colonials played to a scoreless tie through the first 45 minutes. Purdue Fort Wayne recorded three shots in the opening half, including a shot on goal from Audriana Rhyner.
The Mastodons finished with six shots, with Mary McArdle and Rhyner recording two shots each. Keira Bradford and Rhyner each put a shot on goal. Purdue Fort Wayne also earned four corner kicks.
Robert Morris broke the scoreless tie in the 65th minute. The Colonials added a second goal less than five minutes later to extend their lead to 2-0.
Sam Christle made eight saves in goal for the 'Dons.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 1-7-1 overall and 0-2-0 in Horizon League play. Robert Morris improves to 4-4-1 overall and 1-1-0 in league action.
The Mastodons return to action at Youngstown State on Sunday (Sept. 27).
