Horizon League Play is Here - Mastodons Host Cleveland State This Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball opens Horizon League play this weekend when the Mastodons welcome Cleveland State to the Gates Sports Center on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 25-26).

Know Your Foe
Cleveland State is 3-8 entering Horizon League action and is in the midst of a five-match losing skid. The Vikings are the best in the league at the service line with 2.02 aces per set and have a varied offense. Five different Vikings are averaging between 2.0 and 3.0 kills per set.

Cleveland State leads the all-time series, but the Mastodons could overtake that this weekend. CSU leads 8-7 and has won the last three matchups. Riley Rosneck has 197 kills this season, which is the sixth-most in the nation. She is also nearing 1,000 kills for her career with 894.
B1G Busters
Purdue Fort Wayne beat Rutgers 3-2 on August 28, marking the first Mastodon victory over a Big Ten program since 1986 when they beat Ohio State.
Dig it Up!
Becky Barrett recorded the 1,000th dig of her Mastodon career at Bellarmine on August 29. She is up to 1,167 for her career.
Last Time Out
The Mastodons went 2-1 at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational, topping Columbia and Stonehill. Haiden Means and Riley Rosneck were selected for the All-Tournament Team.
