Her time of 18:00.42 in the outdoor 5,000-meters puts her as the seventh-fastest 5k outdoor runner in school history ... Tomecek ran cross country and track at Milan High School in Milan, Mich...She was the 2008 League, Regional and State Champion in cross country and the 2009 League, Regional and State Champion in track...Placed 22nd at the Footlocker Nationals in 2008...Was named the Monroe News Runner of the Year, Ann Arbor News Runner of the Year and Most Valuable Runner...Named to the Honor Roll, member of the National Honors Society and graduated 4th in her class.
