2010 Season
Ryan August appeared in 12 games on the hill for IPFW in 2010 and started 11. Compiled a record of 2-8 with an ERA of 9.91. Threw a total of 56.1 innings, striking out 36. Threw a season-high eight complete innings in a 6-4 win over North Dakota State on April 24. He fanned seven in that game as well as in a game on April 17 at Western Illinois. Had a season-high three putouts at UT Martin on February 20.

Before coming to IPFW
This is August's first season at IPFW. He transferred to IPFW from Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois. In 2007, August made appearances for the Hawks, two starts. He posted a record of 2-0 with an ERA of 4.15. In 17.1 innings, August struck out 14 while hitters batted just .260 against him.

Last season, August compiled a record of 3-0 with anERA of 1.98. In 36.1 innings he struck out 34 and walked just 12. He lowered his opponent's batting average to .255.

The Mokena, Illinois native played his high school ball at Lincoln Way East for head coach Paul Babcock. In 2006 and 2007, he was named All-South Suburban Conference.

Ryan is the son of Robert and Joan August. He has three brothers, Mike, Dan, and Matt. August is an accounting major at IPFW.
