2010 Season
Bower appeared in 11 games for the Mastodons, starting one. Hit .417, going 5-12. He drove in three runs on the year. Lone extra base hit came on March 13 at Kentucky (double). Had a season-high eight putouts vs. Purdue on April 27.

Before coming to IPFW
Bower arrived at IPFW after graduating from Patrick Henry High School in Hamler, Ohio. A first baseman, Bower was named Acme All-State his junior season. He was also tabbed as a conference Honorable Mention selection his sophomore season. His Patriot teammates named him their top offensive and defensive player.

Personal
Austin is the son of Jon and Jackie Bower. He has two sisters, Rylee and Remi. He will major in Education at IPFW.
