Cody O'Neal played his high school baseball at nearby Homestead High School for head coach Steve Sotir. With the Spartans, O'Neal was named All-Northeast Hoosier Conference honorable mention in 2009 and All-NHC Second Team in 2010. 2010 Team Pitching Award Winner.

Cody is the son of Howard O'Neal and Victoria Morris. O'Neal is a Business Marketing major at IPFW.
