One of four players to start in all 56 games… Posted the fourth-best batting average on the team at .242 (51-for-211)… Scored 30 runs and led the team in total bases with 96… Led the team in doubles with 15 and home runs with eight… Tied for the team lead in triples with three… Posted the best slugging percentage on the team at .455 and also led the way with 43 RBI’s… Drew 18 walks and led the team with 19 stolen bases… Reached base seven times after being hit by a pitch… Posted an on-base percentage of .317… Recorded 82 putouts and three assists in the outfield… Lifted IPFW past Western Illinois with two home runs in the series finale… Batted 3-for-4 vs. the Leathernecks with four RBI’s and three runs scored… Hit his first home run and double in the second game of the season at Alabama A&M… Finished the game 3-for-5 from the plate with a season-high six RBI’s and three runs scored… Hit two doubles at Butler while scoring a run and adding an RBI… Helped IPFW push past Nebraska Omaha with a double and a home run vs. the Mavericks on April 1… Went 2-for-3 from the plate at Oakland with a double and a home run (April 14)… Recorded three RBI’s against Valparaiso with a double and a home run against the Crusaders (April 24)… Hit a double in three consecutive games (April 24-28)… Ended the year strong with a 2-for-4, three RBI game at Southern Illinois in the regular season finale... 2011
Played in 25 games during the 2011 season with 14 starts... Hit .289 (13-45) on the year which was fifth-best on the team... Scored nine runs and drove home seven... Hit two doubles, one triple, and one homerun... Held a slugging percentage of .444... Walked 11 times and was hit by the pitch on four occasions... Posted the highest on base percentage of any Mastodon at .467... Stole five bases on six attempts... Recorded 14 putouts and also ended the year with two assists... Had a career day at Chicago State (April 5) going 2-for-4 at the plate with four RBI's and three runs scored... Hit his only triple and homerun of the season against the Cougars... Played well at Centenary (April 24) going 2-for-4 with three RBI's.

PRIOR TO IPFW
Freshman Carter DeBoe comes to IPFW after graduating from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Michigan. DeBoe was a pitcher and first baseman for the Hawkeyes. He was 9-1 with an ERA of 2.06 on the mound. He fanned 63 batters in 54.1 innings of work. At the plate, DeBoe hit .394 with five home runs and 44 RBI. He had six triples and a pair of doubles. DeBoe scored 42 runs and was a perfect 16-16 in stolen base attempts. He is a two-time All-Conference (OK Green), District, Area and County selection. He was named First Team All-State in 2010.

PERSONAL
Carter is the son of Rodney and Christy DeBoe. He has two brothers, Brandon and Nick. DeBoe has not yet decided on a major at IPFW.
