2009 Season
Jason Doerffler started 33 of the 36 games he played for IPFW in 2009. He hit .252 with 10 RBI. Scored a season-high two runs vs. Purdue on April 1 and Oakland on April 17. Had a season-high three hits in that IPFW win over the Boilermakers. Had a pair of doubles at South Dakota State on May 10. Drew a season-high three walks at Purdue on March 24. Stole his lone base of the season on March 28 at Mastodons Field vs. LeMoyne University. Defensively had a season-high four putouts vs. Stony Brook on March 7. Registered a season-high six assists on two occasions, LeMoyne (Mar. 28) and Southern Utah (Apr. 11).
2008 Season
Doerffler appeared in 34 of IPFW[apos]s 51 games in 2008, starting 21. Came on strong defensively late in the season at third base for the [apos]Dons. He hit .214 with a home run and four RBI. His first career homer came in the [apos]Dons 2-0 win over South Dakota State on May 10. Scored a season high two runs at Oakland on May 4. Had a pair of multiple hit games, May 9 vs. South Dakota State and May 17 vs. Oral Roberts. Had a season high five infield assists vs. Oral Roberts on May 15. Had a season high two putouts on five occasions: Mar. 12 vs. Vermont, Mar. 14 vs. Saint Louis, Apr. 27 vs. Centenary, May 3 vs. Oakland, and May 16 vs. Oral Roberts.
2007 Season
Doerffler started 39 games as a freshman and posted a .238 average. He won the [quote]Ryan Keena Award[quote] for leading the team with 14 hit by pitches. Doerffler was 3-5 against Wofford, a 2007 NCAA regional participant, with two RBIs.
High School
Doerffler played his high school ball locally at Concordia. As a Cadet, he was named 1st Team All-SAC his sophomore, junior, and senior years as a shortstop. He also excelled in football, being named 1st Team All-SAC and 1st Team All-State his senior year. Academically, Doerffler was awarded and Academic Honors Diploma.
Personal
Jason is the son of Dean and Barb Doerffler. He has a brother, Ryan and sister, Angie. Jason is an Education major at IPFW.
