2009 Season
Kohler started all 49 of the games in which he played in 2009. For the season, Kohler hit .249 with a team-high tying seven home runs and 22 RBI. Kohler swiped 11 of 16 bases. Had a season-high four hits and five RBI vs. Centenary on Apr. 24. In that game, he hit for the cycle. Had a multiple home run game (2) vs. Purdue on Apr. 1. Drew a season-high four walks vs. Southern Utah on Apr. 11. Had five assists on five different occasions. Registered four putouts vs. Buffalo (Feb. 28) and Southern Utah (Apr. 12).
Before coming to IPFW
Kohler was a shortstop with the Waubonsee Community College Chiefs. He led the team in hits (57), RBI (34), triples (5), home runs (3), slugging percentage (.630), total bases (85) and on-base percentage (.497). For putting up those numbers, Kohler was named to the NJCAA All-Region IV Division III team. He was also a first team All-Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference selection.
High School
While at Washington High School, Kohler earned 1st team All-Conference honors and All-Northern Indiana Conference honors. He was voted Team MVP his senior season.
Personal
Jordan is the son Jeffery and Virginia Kohler. He has three brothers, Shane, Ryan and Alex, and one sister, Jocelyn. Jordan is currently studying General Studies here at IPFW.
