2010 Season
Matt Ransbottom had a solid junior campaign for the Mastodons. He has a 0-0 record in 22 relief appearances and led the team in saves with two. In 28.2 innings of work, Ransbottom struck out 16 and issued just seven free passes. Worked a season-high 2.2 innings at Oakland on May 14 and against Centenary on May 22. Struck out a season-high three in that contest at Oakland and vs. Chicago State on April 5. Had putouts vs. Purdue on April 27 and at Butler on March 31.

2009 Season
Ransbottom was a redshirt in 2009.

2008 Season
Appeared in 17 games, all in relief for IPFW in 2008. Had the third lowest ERA on the squad at 5.06. Tossed a season-high 5.2 innings in a fantastic outing against Notre Dame at Memorial Stadium on April 23.

2007 Season
As a freshman, Ransbottom compiled a record of 2-0 in 12 appearances. Struck out 12 while walking seven in 18.1 innings on the mound. Combined with teammate Cole Uebelhor on a four-hit shutout over Calumet College on April 13.

Personal
Matt is the son of Glen and Jennifer Ransbottom. He has a brother, Nickolas and a sister, Bethany. Ransbottom is an OLS major at IPFW.
