Diem, in his first season with the Mastodons, posted a .277 batting average with three double and 11 runs batted in. Diem did not commit an error in the field, playing in 37 of IPFW[apos]s 49 contests, starting 17. He had 35 put-outs and one outfield assist (3/3 vs. Villanova). Had four multiple hit games in 2006. Scored twice on three different occasions (3/7 vs. Holy Cross, 4/12 vs. Ball State, and 4/28 vs. Grace College). Drove in a season-high two runs vs. Ball State on 4/12. Also had a stolen base in that contest. Registered a season-high five put-outs at Western Kentucky on 4/22. Transferred to IPFW after two seasons at Lincoln Trail Community College. High School
