2009 Season
Beer started 32 of the 37 games he played in for the Mastodons in 2009. Beer hit .227 with one home run and nine RBI. Scored a season-high three runs vs. Buffalo on Feb. 27 and at North Dakota State on May 16. Had multiple hits in seven games in 2009. His lone triple of the campaign cameagainst Western Illinois on May 3. His home run was hitagainst Buffalo on Feb. 27. Had a season-high six putouts vs. Oakland on April 18. Stole his lone base of the season at North Dakota State on May 16.
2008 Season
In his sophomore season, Beer started 16 games and made 32 appearances for the [apos]Dons. He made 60 trips to the plate, where he had 11 hits and drove in five runs. Scored a pair of runs vs. Goshen College on March 29. Had RBIs vs. Georgia State (Mar. 2), Bucknell (Mar. 9), Florida Gulf Coast (Mar. 12), and South Dakota State (May 9 and 10). Was successful in his only steal attempt against Vermont on March 12. Had a pair of hits in that game as well. He also had two hits vs. Goshen College (Mar. 29) and Oral Roberts (May 16).
2007 Season
Beer stepped into the shortstop role as a freshman, and hit .302 with 6 doubles and 16 RBI[apos]s. Beer was 2-3 with two runs scored against Bowling Green and 2-4 with a double in the win over UT-Martin
High School
As a Wawasee Warrior, Beer was a 3-sport athlete, participating in soccer, wrestling, and baseball. His baseball accolades included being named All-NLC Honorable Mention his sophomore and junior years, and 1st Team All-NLC his senior year. He was also the captain of the baseball team his senior year. In wrestling,he received All-Conference honorable mention hisjunior year. In soccer, he was an Academic All-State as a junior, and an All-Conference selection as a senior. Beer was a standout in the classroom as well, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and an Honors Diploma. He was also a member of the National Honors Society.
Personal
Ryan is the son of Keith and Beth Beer. He has two siblings, Connor and Keegan. Ryan is majoring in Biology/Pre-Med at IPFW.
