2018: Named Second Team All-Summit League … Named Summit League Pitcher of the Week three times (Feb. 12, April 2 and April 16) … Named to the Summit League All-Tournament Team … Appeared in 32 games, starting 26 for the Mastodons … Finished third in the Summit League in wins and strikeouts … Recorded 140 strikeouts, in 175.1 innings … had a team-low 3.91 ERA on the year… Was 12-14 record with one save … Tossed 18 complete games ... Threw an eight-inning complete game one hitter in a win over Nicholls State (Feb. 16) … Threw another eight-inning complete game victory, allowing zero earned runs and a season-high nine strikeouts against UT Martin (February 17).
2017: Appeared in 29 games with 21 starts with a record of 4-16 … Lead the pitching staff in ERA (4.57), innings pitched (141.0), strikeouts (80), and wins (4) ... Recorded a season-high eight strikeouts against Western Illinois (April 8).
Prior to Fort Wayne: Pitched for Indiana State during the 2016 season... Led the Sycamores in nearly every pitching category: wins (9), innings pitched (163 1-3), saves (1), strikeouts (69), complete games (13), shutouts (2) and appearances (41) ... Spent one year at Jefferson College where she earned All-American honors along with All-Region Pitcher, Academic All-Conference and Academic All-Region honors.
High School: Had a standout four-year career at Pendleton Heights where she was a four-year letter winner in softball ... Named First Team All-State as a junior and senior in 2013 and 2014 as well as All-Conference and All-Region honors ... Named Madison County Pitcher of the Year in both 2013 and 2014.
Personal: Daughter of to Bruce and Renee Benefiel ... Has two siblings, Shane and Jordan.
