Casey Williamson came to Fort Wayne in the fall of 2017 after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Saint Joseph’s (IN).
While with the Pumas, Williamson worked primarily with outfielders and hitters, while also handling recruiting, conditioning, and in-game situations.
Prior to coaching, Williamson was a highly decorated three-time All-American for the University of Indianapolis softball team. The Greyhounds won 196 games in Williamson’s four-year career, including a trip to the 2015 College World Series. Primarily a centerfielder during her four years, Williamson left UIndy as the single season and career leader in nearly every offensive category. Her 494 career total bases places her sixth all-time in the Division II record book, and is also 11th in career walks. Additionally, she ranks in the top-50 all-time in hits, runs, doubles and steals.
Williamson ended her career with numerous athletic accolades. She was a three-time National Fastpich Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American. She earned first team honors in both 2012 and 2013 and was a second team selection in 2015. Williamson was a four-time NFCA First Team All-Region selection, the only player from the Midwest Region to do so. In 2012, she was named both the GLVC Player of the Year and Co-Freshman of the Year, the first player to do so in the league’s history. She was again named the GLVC Player of the Year in 2013.
Williamson graduated from UIndy in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.
