Hendershott's first season with the Mastodons was 2021.
In her first year, the Mastodons picked up 11 Horizon League wins, which was the most league wins since 2014. She followed it up with a 7-42 season under first-year head coach Amber Bowman.
She comes to Purdue Fort Wayne as a graduate assistant after playing four years of softball at Michigan State. She was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection while with the Spartans. Prior to MSU, Hendershott was a two-sport athlete at Lake Superior State for one season, lettering in both softball and basketball.
Hendershott was a four-year letterwinner at Brandon High School in Michigan, earning All-State First Team honors twice. She graduated from Michigan State in 2020 with a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in athletic administration and a minor in coaching and leadership.
