2010: Played and started in all 48 games during the season...Batted .323 with 50 hits in 155 at-bats...Her 155 at-bats are the most in a single season in school history, as were her 35 runs scored, which are three more than the previous single-season record...Her 50 hits are fourth most all-time, her three triples are tied for fifth most, and the six home runs are fifth most...Her 35 RBI were the second most in school history, behind only the 43 put up by teammate Kristina Karpun during the same season, and are six more than the previous single-season record...Her 82 total bases are the third highest single-season total in school history...Her 88 fielding assists were the second most on the team, and eighth most in school history...Her .529 slugging percentage is the 12th highest single-season total in school history.
PRIOR TO IPFW: Had the seventh highest batting average among all NJCAA Division 1 players, as she hit for a .519 batting average as a freshman with the Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters...She also knocked in 51 runs on 83 total hits, 18 of which were doubles and 10 home runs, while scoring 47 times...Was also a perfect 11-of-11 on stolen base attempts...In the circle, she had a 1.89 ERA, going 18-2 with 94 strikeouts in 122 innings of work...She was named to the West Region 1st team as a second baseman, in addition to winning the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Second Team honors...Last season, Hopwood batted .434 with 20 doubles, which was the fourth best in Region 1, while scoring 62 times, driving in 67 runs, and also hitting seven home runs and a trio of triples...She again was perfect in her stolen base attempts, going 13-for-13...She was also16-5 as a pitcher, with a 2.07 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 125 innings.
HIGH SCHOOL: Hopwood was a member of the White Rock Renegades travel team, along with current Mastodon players Kris Karpun and Rachel Staschuk, where she was named as a 2008 Midget Girls National All-Star as a second baseman.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jack and Susan Hopwood...Has one older sister, Kayce...Majoring in math.
