Tallahasee, FL-Track and field travel by bus to Florida State University to compete in the Snowbird Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The 'Dons were led by a team high, first place finish by junior Valerie Hardesty in the steeple chase. Hardesty finished the race in 11:46.68.
IPFW saw new school records in the Distance Medley Relay and the Sprint Medley Relay. The DMR team placed first with a time of 12:35.42, whilte the SMR team placed fourth at 4:33.27.
IPFW also saw a nice performance out of sophomore Crystina Martinez.
Assistant coach Josh Farrell said, "Martinez has a breakout race in the 5,000 meter run finishing in 17.36.00 flat. It was a great run for her." Martinez finished third overall and was just 4.5 seconds off the school record.
IPFW will return to action on Friday, March 9 at the FAMU Relays in Tallahassee, FL.
