Mastodon Quartet Competes at Jesse Owen Track Classic

Columbus, OH - A quartet if IPFW student-athletes competed late Friday evening at the Jesse Owens Track Classic, with two, Felicia Mondry and Sarah Hutchings, reaching new season bests in the 3,000-meter steeple chase.
Crystal Martinez was IPFW's top finisher in the steeple chase, as she ran to a time of 10:55.49, placing her ninth in the highly competitive field. Mondry and Hutchings placed 14th and 16th, respectively, with times of 11:04.27 and 11:16.09, each.
Alexandra Paul was the final Mastodon competitor at the event, where she placed 25th in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 18:06.59.
Another group of IPFW student-athletes will be competing at the Indiana State Pacesetter Invitational on Saturday.
