Fort Wayne, IN - The IPFW men's basketball team hits the road for their second of five consecutive away games to begin the 2010-11 season. The Mastodons will face the Xavier Musketeers on Tuesday night at the Cintas Center at 7:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW enters Tuesday night's game with Xavier after winning their season opener, 70-55 at SIU Edwardsville on Friday night. It is the first time in IPFW's short D-I history that the team has opened up 1-0. In the SIUE win, IPFW redshirt sophomore Frank Gaines scored a career-high 16 points. He and senior guard Zach Plackemeier teamed up for co-game high honors.
WHAT 2 WATCH 4
Senior guard Ben Botts is just four points shy of the 1,000 point mark for his career. He will become only the 10th player in IPFW history to eclipse the 1,000 point plateau and just the third in the D-I era. (David Simon and DeWitt Scott are the other two). Head Coach Dane Fife is just two wins shy of moving into a second place tie on the All-Time wins list.
SCOUTING THE MUSKETEERS
Xavier enters Tuesday night's matchup with a record of 1-0 after topping Western Michigan, 68-65 at the Cintas Center Friday night. XU got a monster effort from senior guard Tu Holloway with 25 points. The Musketeers will be without the services of senior forward Jamel McLean (broken orbital bone in eye socket) and junior guard Brad Redford (torn ACL).
THE SERIES
Xavier has won both games in the series with IPFW. The Musketeers escaped with an 80-74 win on December 28, 2004, but handled the 'Dons easily in their second meeting on November 14, 2008 71-43.
