FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Kennesaw State Owls make their way to the Memorial Coliseum on Friday evening, as the Mastodons host their final game of the 2012 calendar year in a 7 p.m. tip-off.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
The balanced IPFW squad comes into Friday night's game with a 5-7 overall record, falling most recently to the 22nd ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Monday.
In the loss, the 'Dons put three players in double-figure scoring, led by 11 from Luis Jacobo and Joe Edwards, while Mario Hines added 10. Hines and Kevin Harden each pulled down five rebounds, as the 'Dons were out-rebounded 37-34, just the third time this season that a team has out-rebounded IPFW. Pierre Bland and Harden each gave out three assists, while Harden and Isaiah McCray each had three steals.
On the season the team is led in scoring by Frank Gaines, who averages 18.8, while seven others: Hines (9.1), Jacobo (8.6), Herbert Graham (7.0), McCray (6.8), Harden (6.3), Edwards (5.8), and Michael Kibiloski (5.8) average over five points per game.
Hines leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 6.1 rebounds per game for the 'Dons, who out-rebound their opponents 39.6-to-33.3 on the year. Bland has dished out 27 assists, while Gaines has a team-best 16 steals.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
Kennesaw State comes to Fort Wayne after suffering a 28-point loss at the hands of the 22nd ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Wednesday evening. The game tonight for Kennesaw is the second of a three-game road swing that closes on Sunday at Pittsburgh.
Against the Fighting Irish, Aaron Anderson scored a game-high 16 points, while Markeith Cummings scored 15 and
Delbert Love 10. That trio combined for 41 of the team's 57 points in the game. Anderson pulled down six rebounds, and Cummings gave out four assists in the loss.
For the year the team is led by Cummings, who averages 18.0 points per game, while Anderson is also in double figures at 10.5. Love is a point away from reaching the double-figure plateau at 9.9 points per game, with Myles Hamilton averaging 6.4 points per contest.
Anderson pulls down 8.0 rebounds per game to lead the Owls, as the squad gets out-rebounded by an average of 5.0 rebounds per game. Love has dished out 35 assists for an average of 3.5 per game to pace Kennesaw State, while Hamilton and Love have 23 and 19 steals apiece.

This is the first time that IPFW and Kennesaw State have met on the basketball court.
IPFW vs the ATLANTIC SUN CONFERENCE
IPFW's Friday evening game against Kennesaw State is the first against the Owls; however, IPFW has faced four different schools currently in the Atlantic Sun Conference, including 36 meetings with former co-Great Lakes Valley Conference member Northern Kentucky, as the programs met twice a year from 1985-86 until 2000-01.

• This season, nine of the 10 players that have seen action for IPFW have reached double figure points in at least one game, and 9-of-10 have hit at least one three-pointer.

• As of the latest NCAA Rankings (December 16), IPFW ranks 37th in the country in rebounding margin, and 44th in three-point field goal defense. Individually Gaines ranks 23rd in scoring.
