Men's Tennis Drops Contest to Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio - The IPFW men's tennis team fell to the Toledo Rockets, 5-2, on Sunday at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club in Toledo, Ohio.
The Mastodons (3-7) had hard-fought doubles matches against the Rockets (12-6), but UT managed to pick up all three wins for the doubles point.
At the No. 3 position, the IPFW tandem of Daniel Kang and Joao Freitas suffered a close loss of 9-8 (8). Connor Andrews and Junya Saruta were defeated 8-5 at the No. 1 position while Martin Muadi and Andres Cobos fell 8-6 in second-doubles.
In singles play against Toledo, IPFW earned wins at Nos. 1 and 5.
Kang topped Grant Adams of UT, 3-6, 6-4 (7) at the No. 1 position while Muadi claimed the No. 5 slot by the count of 6-3, 6-2 over Roberto Meza.
The Mastodon netters will return to the courts on Friday (March 2) with two matches. The first match is scheduled to take place at 12 p.m. against Youngstown State in Youngstown, Ohio. IPFW will then travel to Moon Township, Pa. to take on Robert Morris at 7:30 p.m.
