Women's Tennis Drops 6-1 Match to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The IPFW women's tennis team fell to Evansville on Sunday afternoon in Evansville, Ind., at Wesselman Park, 6-1.
In doubles action, the Mastodons earned a win at the No. 2 position but fell at Nos. 1 and 3 to give the Aces the doubles point.
The IPFW pair of Anita Henestrosa and Alex Forsyth won by an 8-3 count against Emily Richardson and Kelsey Coastales.
The 'Dons were unable to bounce back with singles play where the Aces claimed five of the six matches.
Forsyth had IPFW's lone point when she took down Gaby Fifer at the No. 5 slot, 6-0, 6-4, to remain undefeated in the day. Raquel Vescovi forced a three-set match at the No. 2 position, but fell to Aleks Dzakula, 6-0, 4-6, 6-1. At the No. 4 spot, Caterina Kiefer battled Mina Milovic, but Milovic claimed the match, 7-5, 7-5.
The Mastodons will return to action when they host a Summit League cluster in Fort Wayne, Ind. IPFW will face Oral Roberts on Thursday (March 29) on the first day of the cluster at 2 p.m. Weather permitting, the match will be played at the Dr. Rudy and Rhonda Kachmann Tennis Center.
