FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women's tennis team (13-9, 5-1) claimed a 4-0 win over Oakland (1-12, 0-3) on Friday morning in the second day of the Summit League cluster at the Pine Ridge Racquet and Fitness Club in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Mastodons started the match off with doubles action where they swept the Grizzlies en route to the doubles point.

The senior duo of Raquel Vescovi and Frederique Sunstrum blanked OU's Caryn Kimmel and Abbey Bates, 8-0, at the No. 3 slot. At No. 1, Caterina Kiefer and Marcy Huck won by an 8-2 count against Grace Keating and Demi Georgakopoulous to give the 'Dons the 1-0 lead over the Grizzlies. Despite the Mastodons' clinch of the doubles point, the No. 2 match continued to play where Alex Forsyth and Anita Henestrosa picked up an 8-5 win over Caitlin Young and Brittany Baxter.

In singles play, the Mastodons continued to play in dominating fashion en route to straight-set victories at Nos. 2, 1 and 3, respectively.

At the No. 2 slot, Huck downed OU's Keating, 6-0, 6-1, while Henestrosa picked up straight 6-1 wins over Young at the No. 1 position. Vescovi sealed the Mastodons' 4-0 win after she had a perfect match against Georgakopoulous where she won 6-0, 6-0.

IPFW will return to the courts tomorrow (March 31) on the final day of the cluster with a doubleheader against UMKC and South Dakota State, respectively. The matches will take place at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. (EST).
