HIGH-MARK WINS

ALL-TIME SERIES
Despite a split in last season's two-game series with the Rockets, Toledo holds a commanding 11-1 all-time lead against IPFW. The teams met four times in 2002 (all Toledo wins), and two more times each in 2003, 2004, and 2005, before last season's split.
LAST YEAR vs. TOLEDO
Last season the teams split their games against each other, with IPFW dominating the opener 17-1, before Toledo earned the split with a 5-1 win in the nightcap.
The opening game saw the Mastodons score at least three runs in all four innings that the squad batted, led by a five-RBI effort from Cassie Wolfe, which included two home runs, while Kristina Karpun drove in four, while Sara Hopwood and Kirsten Rohn each drove in three, Rohn's on a three-run home run in the fourth inning, as IPFW totaled a dozen hits while drawing eight walks in the opener.
The nightcap saw Toledo score one run in the top of the first, and two more in the top of the third, giving the visitors more than enough runs in the win. Pitcher Jen Solanics held the Mastodons to just five hits, while striking out five and picking up the win.
HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT
Alex Bousquet has been hit by a pitch 18 times in 36 games this season, easily out-distancing the previous single-season and career marks at IPFW. Her total is the third-highest single-season total in Summit League history, while her 21 career hit by pitches ranks in a tie for eighth in league history. To reach inside of the top-20 all-time in NCAA history, Bousquet will need to reach 22 hit-by-pitches. The NCAA record for the statistic is 44, while the Summit League record is 27.
