Final Results
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The IPFW women's track and field team had a select few particpants compete in the Jesse Owens over the weekend. Student-athletes competed at Ohio State Saturday afternoon in two different events.
There was no team scoring at the event, yet the Mastodons were represented well. Sarah Hutchings placed fourth overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Hutchings clocked in at 10:53.71 to earn third in front of Dayton's Lindsey Cummings who finished in 10:57.36. Her time of 10:53.71 was a season-best.
Courtney Bowen and Kayla Zink finished back-to-back in the women's discus throw. Bowen placed 13th overall with a toss of 43.49m (142-8), while Zink was close behind at 43.21m (141-9).
