Trio of Mastodons Compete at 2012 Hillsdale Gina Relays

GINA RELAYS RESULTS
HILLSDALE, Mich. - In preparation for this season's Summit League Outdoors Championships, a trio of Mastodons competed at the 2012 Hillsdale College Gina Relays on Friday in Hillsdale, Mich.
Leading IPFW at the non-scoring event was Sarah Hutchings, who recorded a new school-record of 10:39.99 in the Women's 3,000 Meter Steeplechase Championship race to grab fourth place overall. The record topped the previous time of 10:47.29 set by Crystina Martinez in 2008.
The senior also participated in the 10,000 meter run with teammates Jordan Tomecek and Rebecca Jacobs. Hutchings came in 14th place with a time of 38:22.11, while Tomecek finished in 10th place with a personal-best mark of 36:51.88. Jacobs managed a 38:21.05 time for 13th place.
Next up for IPFW is the Butler Stan Lyons Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. on April 28.
