Kang Ties Career Wins Mark, as 'Dons Open at ITA's

COLUMBUS, Ohio - IPFW senior Daniel Kang tied the IPFW career wins mark, as the Mastodons opened the first day at the ITA Championships, hosted by Ohio State University.
Kang topped preliminary round 14-seed Will Davis of Michigan State by a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 score in the first round, and he went three sets in the second round, narrowly falling 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 to Jordan Zordani of Wisconsin.Â
Gerard Guell also won his first round match, 6-4, 6-1 over Matt Ford of Cleveland State, before falling 6-7, 7-5, 7-6 to Silviu Mistreaunu of Youngstown State in the second round.
Andres Cobos opened action for IPFW, as he fell 6-3, 6-4 to Michigan State's Harry Jadun, the qualifying round top seed, as Martin Muadi fell 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 to Sebastian Hahn of Youngstown State.
