Men's Soccer to Host Denver in Back End of Doubleheader

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons will play host to the Denver Pioneers, as the visitors will play their first-ever Summit League match in their program history after playing last season in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

The Mastodons come into the Tuesday evening meeting looking to snap out of their current nine-match losing skid.
In their last game, the Mastodons fell in a battle with the Detroit Titans. In the match, neither team could find the back of the net in the first half, before Oscar Uyamadu scored his third goal of the season, putting the 'Dons ahead 1-0 just over two and a half minutes into the second half. Detroit drew even on a free kick in the 58th minute, before scoring again in the 59th, and again in the 79th to give the game its 3-1 final score.
On the season, the team is led by freshmen Uyamadu and Jacob Murphy, as Uyamadu has scored three goals and Murphy two, while three others, Jose Rodriguez, Stephen Danielian, and Drake Bowers have each scored once. Corey Tom and Rodriguez each have dished out two assists, with Murphy and Robbie Guzman each adding one assist.
Raphael Kotzock has a 2.94 goals against average with 44 saves in just under 900 minutes of action between the pipes this season.
