TOURNAMENT GAME
The game tonight is the first of four games for IPFW as part of Texas A&M Corpus Christi's Holiday Inn Downtown Marina Islanders Basketball Tournament, as the Mastodons will also face off against Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas-Pan American, and Tennessee Tech in the upcoming weekend.

IPFW comes into its home opener after falling by one to the Dayton Flyers at the UD Arena.
In the game, Pierre Bland scored a career-high 18 points, while Steve Forbes tied his career high with 17 points. Mo Evans scored a dozen points in his IPFW debut, as Isaiah McCray scored 11, and Michael Kibiloski and Joe Reed each chipped in nine points.
Joe Edwards pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, as Evans and McCray each dished out four assists, as Bland, Edwards, and Kevin Harden each had three assists. Bland and McCray had two steals, while Forbes, McCray, and Brent Calhoun had a pair of blocks.
Forbes, who scored 15 of his 17 points against the Flyers in the second half, hit 7-of-8 shots from the field, while Bland was 6-of-10 from the floor. As a team, the Mastodons hit 81 percent of their free throws (17-of-21), including ending the game by making their last eight of the game.
