FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Wednesday evening the IPFW Mastodons will host their second game of the season, as the Purdue-Calumet Peregrines head to the Gates Sports Center for a 7 p.m. game.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW comes into the game riding a two-game win streak, ending the Holiday Inn Downtown Marina Islanders Basketball Tournament with a 3-1 overall record, and are 3-2 on the season.
In the team's last game, a 69-66 win over Tennessee Tech, Luis Jacobo scored a game-high 20 points en route to being named the Summit League Player of the Week. Michael Kibiloski and Steve Forbes each scored nine points while Joe Edwards and Joe Reed added eight points apiece. Pierre Bland dished out six assists with Isaiah McCray dishing out five helpers while Bland had four steals and Mo Evans the team's only blocked shot.
Jacobo, who has appeared in the last two games of the year, averages 22.0 points per game, while Forbes and Reed put in 12.2 and 10.8 points per game each. Bland (9.4), Edwards (8.6), McCray (8.6), and Kibiloski (8.2) are all hovering around the double-figure plateau. Jacobo pulls down an average of 8.5 rebounds per game, as the Mastodons out-rebound their opponents 35.6 to 33.2.
Bland has dished out 24 assists, with McCray and Edwards adding 15 and 14 assists each. McCray leads the team with eight steals, while Bland, Edwards, and Mo Evans each have seven steals. Three players - Forbes, McCray, and Brent Calhoun - each have five blocked shots.

Purdue-Calumet comes into the game riding a four-game win streak with two wins over IU-Kokomo, and one win each over Marygrove and Illinois Tech. The team's only loss came on November 2 against Huntington.
In the most recent game, a 92-64 win over IU-Kokomo, the Peregrines were led by Brencans Kaspars who scored 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field, while Noah Allen scored 17 and Dioscar Gomez 12. Daniel McGee scored 10 points off the bench, along with Dayvohn Braxton and Brandon Bradford who each scored nine points. Kaspars and Bradford each pulled down six rebounds each, while Gomez dished out five assists.
For the year, Brencans averages 14.2 points per game, leading a trio of players in double-figure scoring, as Noah Allen averages 12.5 and Roddy Richardson 10.5. Bradford averages 9.7 points per game, while McGee averages 9.0 tallies per contest. Danny Paschen pulls down an average of 6.5 rebounds per game, leading the team, as the Peregrines pull down an average of 5.5 rebounds more than their opponents.
