FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW women's basketball will put its three-game winning streak on the line when it closes out the 2013 year, hosting Ball State on December 29 at 4:30 p.m. in the Gates Sports Center.

Ball State ended a two-game losing streak as they defeated Northern Kentucky 67-63 on December 21. For the game Shelbie Justice led all scorers while teammate sophomore forward Nathalie Fontaine earned a double-double off of 14 points and 12 rebounds. Renee Bennett had a personal best 12 points and Brandy Woody ended the day with 10.
In the game prior, Ball State fell at home to No. 7 Louisville 105-67 and fell on the road to Wyoming 71-51.
The Cardinals have been without second leading scorer Brittany Carter the entire month of December after averaging 14.2 points per game through the first six games of the season. Ball State and IPFW have faced off with three of the same opponents this season, with identical results. Ball State fell to Purdue 63-57, Evansville 80-69 and defeated Detroit 80-74.
All-Time Series
Ball State has won all four meetings in the all-time series between the two schools, including taking last season's meeting 53-46 in Muncie. The only other meeting between the schools in Fort Wayne came back on November 25, 2003 as the Cardinals won 93-75.
