Mastodons Prepare To Face Nationally Ranked Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - For the second time in three games, the IFPW women's basketball team will face a nationally ranked team as they travel to No. 16/22 Purdue on December 8 for a 2 p.m. game. The 'Dons earned their first ever win over a Big Ten school and nationally ranked team when they defeated Michigan State exactly one week ago. The 'Dons will look to get back into the win column after falling to Evansville this past Wednesday.

Purdue enters the game having dropped two of their previous three games, however both have come to teams ranked in the top-5 of the USA Today Coaches Poll in Stanford and Duke. The Boilermakers allowed 80 points or more for the first time in their season to Stanford, followed by Duke scoring 99 points.
KK Houser leads the Boilermaker offense, she also scored her 1,000th career point against Duke. Courtney Moses was named a nominees for the 2014 AllState Good Works Team.
The Boilermakers have four former Miss Basketball honorees on their roster in Indiana Miss Basketball Courtney Moses, KK Houser was Nebraska's Miss Basketball as a senior, Hayden Hamby was named Miss Basketball in Alabama as a junior and Ashley Morrissette earned Ohio's Miss Basketball crown as a senior in 2013.

Purdue has won all four meetings between the two schools, but IPFW held Purdue to their lowest scoring output in their four meeting last season. The Mastodons are 0-3 in West Lafayette, with the last meeting on Purdue's home court coming in a 73-36 loss on December 22, 2011.
