Cleveland State Defeats Women’s Tennis 5-2

WESTLAKE, Ohio – The IPFW women's tennis team dropped to 6-7 overall in the 2013 season after taking a 5-2 loss at Cleveland State on Friday night.
Kristine Lindal played great for IPFW as she recorded a win in No. 2 Singles 7-6, 7-6 and a win in No. 3 Doubles alongside Marcy Huck 8-7. Anita Henestrosa also grabbed a win on Friday night by defeating Mathilde Orange 6-1, 6-1 in No. 1 Singles.
The Vikings took the doubles point by winning 8-6 in No. 1 Doubles and 8-5 in No. 2 Doubles. Henestrosa teamed with Caterina Kiefer at the No. 1 position and the tandem of Theresa Neumeyr and Miloslava Shustova represented the 'Dons in No. 2 Doubles.
Kiefer lost to Alex Power in straight sets (7-5, 6-1) in No. 3 Singles. The rest of the matches went three sets. Shustova was defeated 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 in No. 4 Singles and Huck was taken down 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 at the fifth position. The final Mastodon in action on Friday was Neumeyr in No. 6 Singles. She took a 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 loss.
