
Men's Soccer to Compete in Qdoba Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's soccer team will look to break into the win column this weekend, as the squad travels to Huntington, W.Va. to compete in the Qdoba Invitational, hosted by Marshall.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW comes into the weekend looking for its first win of the year after tying Northern Kentucky in the season opener and then falling 4-2 to Dayton, 1-0 to Loyola, and 4-0 to Kentucky.
Oscar Uyamadu has scored two goals for IPFW, while Jacob Murphy and Stephen Danielian each have one score on the year. Sophomore Corey Tom has dished out two assists to pace the team, while Murphy, Jose Rodriguez, and Robbie Guzman each have one helper on the season.
Defensively Raphael Kotzock has played and started in all four matches for the team this season, and has a 2.74 goals against average with 23 saves, with Will Brown playing just under 20 minutes in a reserve role, picking up a pair of saves.
SCOUTING THE RED FLASH
St. Francis comes into the invitational with a 3-1 overall record with wins over William & Mary, Canisius, and Bucknell, while falling in their most recent match 1-0 at Loyola (Md.)
On the season the offense is led by Nick Kolarac, who has scored three goals on the year, while three other players - Stefan Sjekloca, Davis Trunzo, and Pablo Medina - each have one score on the season. Ryan Byers has dished out two assists, with three more players, Wallis Debourou, Dominic Ramirez, and Matt Loughnane, each have an assist.
Defensively the team has evenly split time between two keepers, with Andrew Garcia and Daniel Valcicak each playing two full matches between the pipes, and each having given up just one goal for a 0.50 goals against average. Garcia leads the pair with nine saves, as each has a shutout to their credit.
SCOUTING THE THUNDERING HERD
Marshall comes into the weekend also looking for their first win of the year after tying Appalachian State 0-0, and falling at Davidson (2-0), Wright State (3-2), and Cleveland State (2-1).
Jack Hopkins leads the team with two goals on the year, as Mukor Harris has scored the team's only other goal. Juan Ortiz and Jodah Daniel each have an assist.
Danny Sellitti has played and started in three of the team's four matches this season, and has a 1.54 goals against average and has 16 saves and a shutout. Tyler Atwell has played and started in the most recent Marshall match, giving up two goals and adding nine saves at Cleveland State.
