FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's soccer team opens a men's / women's doubleheader when the squad plays host to the Loyola Rambers at 5 p.m. EST.

ABOUT IPFW
IPFW comes into the first game of the men's / women's doubleheader with an 0-1-1 record, tying Northern Kentucky before falling to Dayton 4-2.
Against the Flyers, the Mastodons scored back-to-back goals from Jacob Murphy and Oscar Uyamadu to take a 2-1 lead, before the Flyers answered back with three goals in a 23-minute span to claim the two-goal victory.
Uyamadu leads the team with two goals on the season, while Murphy and Stephen Danielian have scored the remaining two. Corey Tom has dished out an assist in each of the first two matches, while Murphy, Jose Rodriguez, and Robbie Guzman each have an assist as well. Raphael Kotzock has been in goal for the entire season, and has a dozen saves and a 2.70 goals against average.
ABOUT LOYOLA
Loyola makes its second trip to Fort Wayne this season, after playing in the Shindigz National Soccer Festival earlier this fall. The Ramblers opened the season with a 5-2 loss to Michigan, before picking up the squad's first win of the season in a 1-0 contest over Grand Canyon.
In the win over the Antelopes, senior Eric Nock scored the team's only goal 21 minutes into the contest, as goalkeeper Tim Dobrowolski had four saves in the shutout win.
Nock, who also scored the team's two goals against Michigan, has all three of the team's scores on the season, whie Dan Bergstrom has the only assist on the season. Dobrowolski has a 2.50 goals against average with eight saves and the solitary shutout.
ALL-TIME SERIES
IPFW and Loyola have met two previous times, both meetings coming at Loyola's home field in Chicago, and both margins coming by one goal. Last season the Ramblers scored with just over two minutes remaining on the regulation clock to claim the 1-0 victory.
QUICK HITTERS
• The 2013 Mastodons have players from six different countries including the United States, England, Canada, Scotland, New Zealand, and Germany.
• The Mastodon season-opening tie was the first for the program since 2008, when IPFW opened the season with a tie against St. Joseph's College, also by a 2-2 score.
• Each of the teams' four goals this season are from first-year players, as Oscar Uyamadu and Stephen Danielian each added a score against Northern Kentucky, and Uyamadu and Jacob Murphy each found the back of the net against Dayton.
• The last time the Mastodons have scored at least two goals in each of the team's first two games was in 2002 when the squad that finished 4-13-1 won 4-3 over Louisville in the opener before falling 4-5 in double overtime against Alabama A&M.
• The Mastodons are 1-0-1 over the last two seasons when playing in a doubleheader with the women, winning 2-1 over Oakland last year in the second match of a doubleheader, while tying the Northern Kentucky Norse earlier this season in the second game of a twin bill.
