FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW men's soccer team takes on the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles on Saturday, October 11. The match is set to kick off at 7 p.m., at the Hefner Soccer Complex.

With his 12 saves, Cody Schweitzer set a new career high, while extending the team's streak of allowing one goal or less to five-consecutive matches. Additionally, Schweitzer's 12 saves were the most in a single Summit League match this year, while being the fifth most in the NCAA this season, as of October 9.
SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW is coming off a 1-1 tie at Detroit in a non-conference match. The Mastodons saw a goal from Corey Tom in the 59th minute of play to give them a 1-0 lead. However, the Titan's Matt Harkema scored the game-tying goal five minutes later. With the tie, the 'Dons hold a 3-5-4 record, while sitting fourth in the Summit League with a 1-1-0 record in conference play.The Blue and White is led offensively by Austin West's eight points, coming off four goals. Tom holds seven points from three goals and an assist, while Jacob Murphy leads the team with three assists. For the year, West has 11 shots on goal, with Britt Watts closely behind with eight shots on goal.
Both Schweitzer and Raphael Kotzock have split time in goal, each starting six matches. Schweitzer has made 29 saves, earning a .727 save percentage and a 2-3-1 record, one of which was a shutout. Kotzock has earned 27 saves and a .794 save percentage, while holding a 1-2-3 record. Additionally, Kotzock holds a 0.98 goals against average, including two shutouts.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Oral Roberts is coming off a 2-0 shutout at Missouri State, bringing the Golden Eagles record to 4-4-2. ORU is tied for fifth in the Summit League, with one point off a 0-1-1 record. Their point came off a scoreless tie with Omaha on October 4.The Golden Eagles are led by Johnny Chavez's nine points (4 g, 1 a), while Alex White sits second in the Summit League with four assists. Ben LaCourse sits second in the league with 52 saves, while accumulating the fourth best save percentage with .743. LaCourse earned Summit League Defensive Player of the Week honors during the first week of the season after a 1-0 shutout over Missouri State, making five saves in the process.

Oral Roberts leads the all-time series 5-1-2, including a 2-1 edge over IPFW in overtime during last year's match on September 29. The Mastodon's only win over the Golden Eagles came in the form of a 3-1 victory in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 30, 2011. Both teams would see each other again in the Summit League Tournament that season, with Oral Roberts winning the tournament match 3-2 on November 11, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri.
