FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW men's soccer team travels to Western Illinois for their second Summit League match of the season. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m., at John MacKenzie Alumni Field.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
Austin West and Raphael Kotzock are the reigning Summit League Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
West earned a hat trick against the Jaguars, becoming the first Summit League player to do so in a regular-season match since IPFW's Max Touloute accomplished it against Milwaukee on August 26, 2011. Additionally, his hat trick is the first during a conference match since Kansas City's John Bayron Sosa accomplished the feat against IPFW on October 23, 2010. All three of West's goals came in the first half against the Jaguars.
Kotzock earned his second-consecutive shutout of the season, extending his scoreless streak to 282 minutes. Kotzock made two saves against the Jaguars, while the Mastodons earned four total saves against IUPUI. Kotzock has not let up a goal since the eighth minute of play at Northern Kentucky, during a 1-1 tie on September 14.
After his career day, West now leads the Blue and White in goals (4), points (8), shots (25), and shots on goal (11). Kotzock sits third in the Summit League for saves (23), save percentage (0.793), and goals against (6), while sitting fourth in goals against average (0.97).
SCOUTING THE LEATHERNECKS
Western Illinois is coming off a 2-0 shutout at Northern Kentucky following Charlie Bales' two goals against the Norse. The Leathernecks have yet to play in a Summit League match.Yves Dietrich leads the Summit League in saves (46) and save percentage (0.836, while sitting thirs in goals against average (0.96). Bales is tied for second in the league for shots (18).
Bales leads the team with seven points (3 g, 1 a), while placing 12 shots on goal. earning a 0.667 shots on goal percentage. Oscar Ortega and Ben Fiddes have two assists each for the Leathernecks.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Although Western Illinois leads the all-time series 7-2-2, including a 3-0 shutout last year in Fort Wayne on October 26, 2013. Over the last five matches, the 'Dons and Leathernecks have split the results 2-2-1. The last Mastodon win over Western Illinois came in the form of a 2-0 shutout on October 8, 2011 in Fort Wayne.Throughout the series, three matches have seen overtime, all of which occurred in Macomb. Two of the overtime matches ended in a 1-1 draw, with the most recent being on October 6, 2011. The only other overtime match ended in a 2-1 Leatherneck victory, with the game-deciding goal coming in the 92nd minute.
