
Mastodons Take on Valparaiso in Post-Finals Battle

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's basketball team will cap off its 2014 winter semester finals week with a battle against in-state foe Valparaiso at the Gates Sports Center on Saturday evening.

• Isaiah McCray, one of the smallest players on the IPFW squad, currently leads the Summit League in defensive rebounds (5.8), and ranks 66th nationally in the category.
• McCray had the program's first-ever ESPN Top 10 appearance after the team's loss at Purdue. McCray, at six feet tall, had a rediculous block of Purdue's 7-0 center's dunk attempt.
• IPFW has put together runs of 10-0 or better in six of its nine games this season, with the team putting together nine different 10-0 or better runs total on the year.
• Forbes currently ranks 18th in the country in career field goal percentage among active players.

• The state of Indiana is 66-34 (.660) this season among its 10 NCAA Division I basketball programs, with seven of the ten sitting with records of .500 or better, including IPFW which is 6-3.

• IPFW's 25-11 record last year was the most wins and highest win percentage of any NCAA Division I team in the state.
