
Men's Basketball to Battle Purdue on ESPNU

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The IPFW men's basketball team will face off against the Purdue Boilermakers on Monday evening, as the two in-state foes will square off on ESPNU.

SCOUTING THE BOILERMAKERS
Purdue comes into the game against its in-state foe IPFW having lost its last game, snapping a three-game win streak.
In the 73-70 loss to North Florida, Purdue led by as many as 13, and led by 10 early in the second half, as North Florida out-scored Purdue 45-34 in the second half. A.J. Hammons scored a team-best 16 points while Isaac Haas scored 14 and Kendall Stephens scored 10. Jon Octeus had nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Haas (12.3), Vince Edwards (12.1), and Stephens (11.6) lead the Boilermakers, as the trio each average in double figures with Hammons (9.8) and Fort Wayne native Rapheal Davis (9.0) just off of the double-figure plateau. Edwards leads the team in rebounding, averaging seven rebounds per game, while Octeus leads the team with 24 assists.
QUICK HITTERS
• Isaiah McCray, one of the smallest players on the IPFW squad, currently leads the Summit League in defensive rebounds (6.7), and ranks 27th nationally in the category.
• Against Miami, IPFW forward Steve Forbes picked up his second straight and third overall double-double of the season, giving the Mastodons six total double-doubles this season in seven games.
• IPFW has put together runs of 10-0 or better in five of its seven games this season, with the team putting together seven different 10-0 or better runs total on the year. See page two for a full listing of all the teams' 10-0 runs.
• Forbes currently ranks 14th in the country in career field goal percentage among active players.
• IPFW stands as the only team in the Summit League with four players occupying spots in the top-16 in the league scoring race, with Steve Forbes, Isaiah McCray, Mo Evans, and Joe Edwards all marking inside the top 16 overall.
