COLUMBUS, Ohio - IPFW freshman Brittany Beard continue her assault on the IPFW record book, smashing her own school record in the 1,500-meter run at the Jesse Owens Classic hosted by Ohio State.
Beard ran a time of 4:33.72, placing fifth in her heat, and 21st overall in the field. The time is over seven seconds faster than her own school record set two weeks ago with a 4:40.86, and almost nine seconds faster than the school record of 4:42.68 heading into the season.
Also competing for IPFW in the field was Kayla Boyes, who ran a time of 5:02.00 in the field.
