As a freshman, he was was named Third Team All-Conference Carolinas after going 15-6 in singles and 15-8 in doubles, while helping Coker win its first-ever conference title. For his efforts during his freshman season, he was named the Coker College Freshman Male Athlete of the Year.
The 2013-14 Mastodons ended the season with a 19-9 overall record, a program-best for wins in a season, while advancing for the first time in program history to the Championship Match of the Summit League Tournament.
