Mastodons Open Conference Play against Lindenwood and Quincy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 10th ranked (American Volleyball Coaches Association) IPFW men's volleyball team is set open conference play when the Mastodons host Lindenwood on January 30 at 7 p.m., followed by Quincy the following day at 7 p.m.
• Omar Rivera is 11 assists shy of tying Phil Bodine for third all-time in IPFW career assists.
• The Mastodons are currently ranked No. 10 in the AVCA Top-15 Poll.
• Both Omar Rivera and Alex Harthaller earned a double-double at Sacred Heart on January 23. Rivera finished with 49 assists and 12 digs, while Harthaller earned 11 kills and 11 digs.
• IPFW is 2-2 all-time against Lindenwood, including consecutive sweeps in the past two meetings.
• The Mastodons lead the all-time series against Quincy, 41-4. IPFW has gone 23-1 against the Hawks, dating back to February 7, 2003.
• Luis Bertran earned a season-high 15 digs at Harvard, for his third double-digit digs total in a singel match. The 15 digs was one shy of tying his career high.
• The Mastodons will play 13 matches with teams which were ranked or received votes in the AVCA Preseason Top-15 Poll, including two matches against defending NCAA champion Loyola-Chicago.
• Mastodon head coach Arnie Ball is in his final season wearing Blue and White before entering retirement. Ball has the third-most wins (557) among active coaches and the fifth-most overall. Ball was inducted into the AVCA Hall of Fame in 2012.
