The IPFW men's soccer team looks to gain ground in the Summit League standings as they try to return to the Summit League Tournament in Denver, Colorado. Zach Tom and Austin West are tied for a team leading eight points. West leads the team with four goals, while Tom has earned three goals and two assists. Corey Tom and Thilo Körperich each have three assists for the 'Dons. Raphael Kotzock has spent the majority of the time in net, earning 40 saves during the season thus far.Scouting the Leathernecks
Western Illinois enters the match coming off a 6-0 shutout over Eastern Illinois in a Summit League matchup. Drew Whalen leads the Leathernecks with 21 points, coming from nine goals and three assists. Fernando Pacheco leads the 'Necks with six assists, while Bruce Corrie has been a mainstay in goal for WIU. Corrie has earned 43 saves for a 1.23 goals against average for Western Illinois.Series History
Western Illinois leads the all-time series 9-2-2, including a 1-0 victory last year in Macomb, Illinois, coming off a penalty kick in the 9th minute. After the Leathernecks were fouled just inside the box, Charlie Bales placed the lone goal of the game past Raphael Kotzock.
