Mastodons Set for Playoff Push at Oral Roberts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW men's soccer team travels to Oral Roberts for a Halloween night league match on Saturday, October 31 at 8 p.m. The Mastodons are currently tied for third in the Summit League standings as Oral Roberts and Western Illinois also have six points in league play.

Scouting the Mastodons
IPFW enters the match after a heartbreaking 1-0 loss against Detroit, coming off a penalty kick in the 29th minute. Zach Tom continues to lead the 'Dons with nine points, coming off three goals and three assists, while Austin West was just behind him with eight points earned for the season off four goals. Corey Tom, Zach Tom, and Thilo Körperich lead the team with three assists each, while Raphael Kotzock has increased his season saves to 49 through 14 games.
Scouting the Golden Eagles
Matthew Rogers has 14 points for the Golden Eagles coming off six goals. Alex White has three points and three assists through 13 games. Ben LaCourse has 23 saves through 10 matches, with only four of those saves coming in conference play, while Hunter Harrison has 26 saves through seven matches.
Previous Meeting
The 'Dons defeated the Golden Eagles 1-0 last season at home. Corey Tom made the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute of the match. Kotzock ensured the win with his fifth shutout of the 2014 season in the 'Dons matchup against the Golden Eagles.
